How do we meet and communicate about my project?
Design sessions are online using secure screen share software that allows us to design together and get your feedback in real time. Think of it like a digital dollhouse; once we’ve built it, we can just move the pieces around to visualize all the options. We also provide you access to your 3D project model in a free viewer that you can navigate through at anytime. Plus, we’re always available by phone & email to answer questions and exchange ideas.
What will I have once we finish?
That depends on what services you’d like to work together on. We can provide all the design services needed to create, document and permit your dream home. We also work with a large network of engineers and home builders to help you find your entire team. We can provide all or a portion of the services you need and we’re always happy to work with any team members you may already have in place.
How many sessions will my project take?
The number of sessions depends on the size of the project and how quickly we get the design just right for you. We provide you with 3D progress models regularly to make sure we’re on the right track, and only charge you for the time used to create the design. For larger projects, we always provide a fixed fee option; that way you know your total costs at the start, no matter how many design variations we present.
How does your pricing compare to a traditional office?
Our design bar services are priced lower than a traditional office. Our mission is to provide high design at a lower cost through in-house only designers, low overhead and utilizing powerful design software technology. We want all design lovers to experience creating their own home.
What type of projects can be done on design bar?
All types of home design projects.
Whether you’re looking to build a new home from scratch or want to remodel your existing home, we have you covered. We’ve done projects large and small: from an exterior refresh, kitchen and bath remodel, adding an additional dwelling unit for extra rental income, or designing a dream backyard, we do it all.
Who is doing the work?
We do the work, always. We don’t outsource projects. To provide you the best design product possible, we need to work directly with you. Through years of experience we’ve found that one on one design sessions with the client is the best and fastest way to understand the project needs, and create a space that is a reflection of you and your family.
Home design is personal and we believe the experience should be too.
